Although we have chosen a light plastic ring latch at the base,(for break-off release in extreme circumstances), we also recommend hooking the leash to your belt loop or around your arm or waist, when mounting, instead of the saddle. This really works well, especially when you have a dancer in your family!
A: It will easily handle 315lbs. of weight in normal wear and unless your horse sits on it or your truck runs over it, you should be able to use it for many years. It comes with a one year parts replacement and/or full item replacement warranty limited to normal use. Warranty registration required.
